OUR STORY

WE ARE STAY QUEENSLAND

Stay Queensland was started by a resort group, after setting up their own reservations team and realising the advantages of having a centralised bookings team, as opposed to in-house staff at each resort.

They saw an opportunity to offer the services of their already highly trained and successful bookings team to other accommodation providers, on a per-booking basis – creating a cost-effective, successful and local option for resort managers to streamline their operations, whilst maintaining a high-quality customer experience.

BRYAN FITZPATRICK

General Manager

Bryan grew up in the hospitality industry, in country hotels owned by his family in Victoria. After years of hotels and a few years in a permanent rental complex on the Gold Coast, Bryan moved into his first holiday complex in 1999 on the Sunshine Coast at Zanzibar Resort Mooloolaba.

Three years later he gave up the beach for the city and managed Quest River Park Central Brisbane for 8.5 years. During this time Bryan was also involved in helping his family with other resorts which they had purchased, including Cilento Mooloolaba and Reflections Coolangatta. In 2014 Bryan moved back to Mooloolaba after purchasing Sea Pearl Resort and lived onsite until 2019.

From 1st December 2020 Bryan was appointed as General Manager for Dreamtime Resorts. During the 20 years of running resorts and living on site, Bryan felt that there was a need to outsource some of the workload. The best suitable outcome was to set up a centralised reservations company. Having a centralised reservation system in place benefits on a staffing level and for those running smaller complexes the ability to unchain themselves from the reception.

Bryan is very excited to bring Stay Queensland’s outsourced reservations service to the Australian accommodation industry.

 

JOLEEN PAK

Reservations Manager

Joleen started her career in travel and tourism in 2000 with Carefree Holidays, a wholesaler for Bali. Packaging Bali holidays to Travel Agents which involved administration, reservations, GDS and ticketing.

Since 2006 worked for Dreamtime Resorts / Holidays In Aussie gaining experience in inbound travel, reservations, sales and marketing, rate parity and channel management.

After Dreamtime Resorts, Joleen went to work in Front Office and Reservations for Beach Haven Resort which was a Dreamtime Resort property.

New management took over Beach Haven in September 2016 and Joleen was given the opportunity to become a Front Office Manager at Beach Haven for over 5 years.

From January 2022, Joleen has taken on a new exciting role as Reservations Manager for Stay Queensland.
